This article is a somewhat sensitive one because my opinion is that some fogeys can tend to over-parent their children, and other folks don’t pay enough attention to what their teens are doing. So before reading on, you need to ask yourself if you’re the compulsive parent who is paranoid that your kid is getting into something bad all the time, even though they do not always have a record of doing too much incorrect. If you’re that kind of parent, I’d say stop reading at this point.
If you suspect you are a standard parent or a parent that could probably do more to grasp what is going with your teen, maybe this article will be informative. Currently on the market there are some devices available called GPS trackers that communicate with satellites and log the information on an on-board flash memory stick. Once all the info is captured, all you should do is connect it to your PC and use included software to see where it’s been.
As a good example, there is a GPS tracker out there called the Trackstick. This device will record where its been using GPS technology, and even tracks things like speed, so you know if they’ve been driving recklessly. It’ll also know if they’ve been to places where they should not go, like to a liquor store for example. One of the best things about this actual GPS tracker is that you can just use it with Google Maps.
This, naturally, is something you should only consider as a final resort. I have revealed that the best parenting I have ever received was trust.

Tips for buying a GPS
